One of the Undiscovered Historical Destinations.
The region’s cradle of culture for more than two millennia, Uzbekistan has a fascinating history of the Silk Road. Uzbekistan is the one of extremely friendly countries where hospitality remains in an essential element of daily life. My journey started at Tashkent and visited ancient cities of Khiva, Bukhara, Nurata and Samarkend.
Hard Not to Be Won Over by This Beguiling Ancient Capital and its People.
At 5am, the locals knelt beside elaborate homemade offerings to the silent procession of the monks who weaved through the side streets. In the afternoon, you can take a book or a sketch book with you to my favorite cafe, Utopia, where is over looking the Nam Khan river. The country retains a slow, rather old-fashioned charm, and incredibly laidback and friendly people are undoubtedly one of the highlights of any visit.
Charmed by its Lively Buzz and the Friendliness of its Citizens.
It’s fun to stroll around the various markets and cruising through a mangrove area which can enable you to witness the elusive Proboscis monkey, Long Tail Macaques, or Silver Languor Monkeys. A further highlight lies offshore in popular islands where are just a short trip away by boat.
Inspiring Monuments Ever Conceived by the Human Mind.
Waking up at 5am, it's time to see sunrise at the abode of ancient gods, Angkor Wat. When you reach the top of Angkor Thom, you will gasp at the sight of monuments in the forests. There're lots more to see like the village where floats on the water. Cambodia is the place of unfailing interests.
A World Heritage Site Coloured by Lanterns.
I just happened to be in this old town on the Chinese New Year. Walking down by the Japanese bridge, Chinese temples, the market and over on Cam Nam Island, I saw multifaceted histories of China, French and Japan. The place worth going to is Cua Dai beach. You can cycle along the rice fields and have fun to race with local bikers.
So Much In So Little Island.
Sri Lanka is slowly healing from the wounds of war. But with a steadily improving infrastructure, this tiny rainforest island is on the rise. Sri Lanka's over 2000 years of culture can be discovered at ancient sites where legendary temples boast beautiful details. The "Umami" taste of Sri Lanka's cusine and charming people with bright smiles are very much like us.
Stunning White-Sand Beaches and Amazing Underwater World.
When you wake up in one moning and open the door, you'll find whiter-than-white powder sand and luminous cyan-blue water like this almost nowhere else on earth. The dazzling coral walls, magnificent caves and schools of brightly coloured tropical fish await you when you get down to the reef. In deeper waters lurk manta rays, turtles and sharks are waiting for you to swim with. It's a heaven.
